Violinist Ambi Subramaniam tied the knot with writer Shreya on Monday in an intimate ceremony in Mysuru. The wedding took place with safety precautions in place as guests were seen maintaining social distance and wearing masks. Talking to Bangalore Times, Ambi’s sister, Bindu Subramaniam said, "The wedding has taken place according to Iyer customs and we had no more than 100 guests.
Keeping the safety of the guests in mind, we are following the concept of the bio-bubble.” Around 10 pandits were present at the wedding for various ceremonies.
Coincidentally, the wedding took place on Kavita Krishnamurti’s birthday. "It's a double celebration for us. Getting a daughter-in-law is the best birthday gift for her," says Bindu, adding, "Shreya is a writer and has written a book as well. She is also a part of the Sa Pa (their music institute) family, and we are happy to have her now as part of our family."
